It finally rained the other day. After a month-long dry spell, it was actually kind of reassuring to see the gray skies and wet streets. During one of the slightly drier stretches, we took a walk down the block to see what was new. M was kind of excited about everything being, well, wet. We'll see how excited she is about that in the middle of November.

I think I've mentioned how crazy Miss M is about her rain boots. She's been stomping all over the house in them for weeks now. Of course, on the one day it actually rained, we couldn't find her left boot anywhere. So she went out in sneakers instead.

Daddy came home from work just in time to help us check out the biggest snail of the day.

Although August in notoriously dry around here, we've got plenty of mud puddles in our future. Hopefully, Mama and Dad can track down that second little boot before the skies open up for good...
